AMY + JOSEPH'S WASHINGTON OAKS AND GARDENS COUPLES SESSION

Amy and Joseph are long term clients who have turned into some amazing friends of ours! Over the past years through both Hype Girl Boudoir and Whisper Photo Co., it has been so wonderful getting to know these two.

Amy recently agreed to chat with me a bit about her and Joseph’s recent couples session in the beautiful Washington Oaks and Gardens, and I am so excited to share their photos and experience with you!

Tell me about you and Joseph! How did y’all meet?

“So we met in high school, I was going to class one day and my brother was standing outside of his classroom. I stopped to talk to my brother and when I walked away, Joseph started asking my brother who I was. He claims that he yelled ‘Hey girl’ at me and then got upset that I didn’t turn around, but I have no recollection of that happening. So then he started hanging out with my brother more, and I would tag along. And then it kind of just went along from there!”

I know you’ve had several sessions with Tiffany, do you remember how you found out about her business way back when?

“So my best friend was doing hair and makeup for Tiffany through Hype Girl at the time, and we were at the Southern Women's Show and my friend said that I should book a session. I was like “no, no, I can’t do that”, but she eventually convinced me to book the show special that she was running. So I called Joseph and was like “hey, I think I’m gonna do this thing” so I sucked up my nerves, gave into the peer pressure from my best friend and booked the session, and I’ve just stayed with Tiffany from there. I then gave Joseph those pictures for an anniversary present! He knew I booked the session, but had no idea when I did it or what I ordered. So when we came home from our anniversary trip, my best friend had laid everything out on our bed for him to come home to!”

Oh my goodness, that’s amazing! What was his reaction to seeing your photos?!

“Well, one of the pictures was sitting on the ledge and it fell and hit his head. But he was so surprised, and he just had no clue so it really was great to watch his reaction.”

How many total sessions have you had with Whisper Photo Co.?

“So I’ve only done this recent one at Washington Oaks with Whisper, but I’ve also done 2 solo boudoirs and we did a couples boudoir with Hype Girl. So 4 sessions total with y’all!”

Since your other sessions were in the studio, tell me about your thoughts on using Washington Oaks for your recent one! What made you decide to go there?

“So when we had initially talked with you when we booked the session during Black Friday, we originally wanted just beach photos. But then more we thought of it, we realized that we’re not super beachy people so maybe strictly beach wasn’t the best option for us personally. But I always loved the idea of a beach background, so we went with Washington Oaks because you can get both beach and garden photos there. It wasn’t somewhere we had been before, but I loved how many different types of scenery you can get at the same location.”

Honestly, that’s one of my favorite things about this place! There’s so much variety, but it’s still the perfect representation of Florida. As you know, we do have to charge a small travel fee since it is farther away from our studio, but to me the beautiful scenery is absolutely worth it

Tell me a little bit about your reaction to seeing these photos of the two of you for the very first time!

“I was so obsessed with them! They definitely captured our personalities and our relationship really well. And it was so funny because sometimes you would see this really beautiful picture, but when you zoom in you can see that Joseph is making a silly face or that I’m laughing about something.

How would you review this experience that you had with both Tiffany J and Tifanie M?

“Oh, it was top notch! I personally feel like working with them is like no other. We were lucky enough to have both Tiffany J and Tifanie M there, but it was like we were being photographed by two of the same person. I haven’t spent too much time with Tifanie M, so getting the chance to see her style and personality was amazing! They both make you feel the same level of comfort, and it was such a fun experience. They both have their own way of making sure you enjoy yourself, and they turn it into a true experience instead of a chore. You can tell that they honestly enjoy what they do, and it really shines through when they work.”

I am so grateful to both Amy and Joseph for sharing their story and chatting about their experience with me! I (Marcella) was actually lucky enough to tag along with their session too, and let me just tell you that it was so incredible watching both Tiffany J and Tifanie M work together. They truly are two sides of the same coin, both in personality and in talent!
